3 Special Rate Advance: The special advance rate is variable for twelve (12) months and is applicable only for an initial advance of $25,000 or more taken under the variable rate option at the closing of the line of credit, to be disbursed immediately upon expiration of any applicable rescission period, and is valid for applications received by 4/30/2019 and that close by 6/14/2019. An initial advance of $25,000 or more taken at closing under this option shall accrue interest at the Special Rate for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of disbursement of the advance. You'll probably have a limited amount of money to put toward credit repair each month. So, you'll have to prioritize where you spend your money. Focus first on accounts that are in danger of becoming past due. Get as many of these accounts current as possible, preferably all of them. Then, work on bringing down your credit card balances. Third are those accounts that have already been charged-off or sent to a collection agency.
If you have impossibly high interest on those credit cards, then do cancel them. It doesn’t help to have open credit cards if the interest rate makes it nearly impossible for you to get the balance down. In fact, banks currently have hardship programs, where they will reduce your interest rate TO ZERO if you agree that they will cancel your cards. Yes, you wll take an immediate hit on your credit score, but that will quickly improve as you pay down your credit cards, which you can now do because you don’t have those usurious interest rates to pay.
We don’t necessarily admire the additional fee structures (it’s 2019, we need companies to clearly price their services) for the “Fast Track” and “Identity Optimization” services, one-time fees of $25 each. However, the Fast Track option can be useful if you’re looking to apply for a loan very soon, so the extra fee may-well be justified on a case-by-case basis.

When the bureaus and data furnishers receive the dispute and supporting information, they will then work with the credit repair company to determine if the item should be removed from your credit report. The major law dictating your rights when it comes to credit reporting is the Fair Credit Reporting Act, but it isn’t the only law on your side when it comes to credit repair.

If you don’t own your home or if you don’t have much equity in it the alternative would be to get personal or unsecured loan. These are called unsecured loans because they don’t require you to use any asset as collateral to secure them. If you are a careful money manager who fell into debt because of unusual circumstances (medical or veterinary  bill, loss of employment or some other emergency) and NOT because you spent more on your credit cards than you could afford to pay off each month, then leave the accounts open. Doing so will help your credit score, because the amount of revolving debt you have is a significant factor in your credit score. Just be sure to put the cards away. Don’t use them while you pay down your debt consolidation loan.

What lenders are looking for: Any reputable lender will check your credit history and ask about your income and debt when deciding whether to offer you a loan. Your credit history directly affects the interest rate you are offered, and so does your ability to repay the loan. If you are considering using a debt relief or debt consolidation company, arm yourself with information. For a fee, they negotiate with your creditors on your behalf, resulting in lower balances or interest rates. Legitimate debt relief companies will obtain a written agreement from each one of your creditors, detailing the terms of the agreement, your obligations, and what will be reported to the credit bureaus. In some cases, if your balances are lowered the creditor might report bad debt or a charge-off, which will negatively impact your credit history and score. Also keep in mind that debt relief companies generally charge higher interest rates than your bank or mortgage lender, particularly if you have less than stellar credit. So you might not save much in the long run, especially once you factor in fees. It’s up to you to do the math.

Credit scoring models usually take into account how much you owe compared to how much credit you have available, called your credit utilization rate or your balance-to-limit ratio. Basically it's the sum of all of your revolving debt (such as your credit card balances) divided by the total credit that is available to you (or the total of all your credit limits).

Lender preapprovals can help you identify the best loan offering, comparing rates and terms from lenders who are willing to extend you credit. But 59 percent of respondents didn’t get a preapproval from more than one lender, and of those, 37 percent didn’t get any preapprovals at all. Just over 40 percent of respondents got preapprovals from more than one lender, including 18 percent who obtained preapprovals from more than four lenders.
